Ongoing Projects

The Resistance Lab’s ongoing projects focus on understanding and preventing gender-based violence while evaluating the policies, systems, and programs designed to support survivors and affected communities. Our ongoing projects bring together researchers, students, and community partners to address complex issues related to gender-based violence. By combining research, education, and collaboration, we aim to develop practical solutions that improve prevention efforts, strengthen institutional responses, and support survivors across diverse communities.

Our current projects examine:

  • Rape culture and institutional responses within the military, legal system, and college campuses.
  • Reporting structures and barriers to disclosure for individuals experiencing gender-based violence.
  • The development, implementation, and evaluation of prevention programming for LGBTQ+ communities.
  • Intersectional approaches to gender-based violence prevention and response, with particular attention to marginalized and underserved populations.

As our ongoing projects continue to evolve, we remain committed to conducting research that is rigorous, collaborative, and responsive to community needs. We work closely with students, researchers, practitioners, and community organizations to ensure our findings have practical applications beyond academia. By translating research into action, we hope to strengthen prevention efforts, improve institutional responses, and support individuals and communities affected by gender-based violence.
